Stuff

Well, Garry has been dealing with a muscle strain in his back, I have a four legged mischief maker by the name of Jake!!!  Saturday, we had a play date with Dasher by the lake, Jake is not sure about getting into that big of tub of water no matter how much Garry tried to coax him in!!!  Today, he discovered a turtle laying it eggs in the yard!!!  Now you would think he would have had enough of turtles since this is not his first go around with one!!  Mom had at one time tried to get the turtle to let go of Jake's tongue!!!  Needless to say, all afternoon he has wanted to go out and play with the turtle!!!  grrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

Susan has been down with bronchitis for the last few days!!!  My buddy is not feeling so good!!!  Been there and done that one more times than I care to count!!!  Wish I could make her feel better!!!

George is liking his new job, said he wished he had made a change a long time ago!!!  Yippee for him!!!

Let me see, what else is going on?  Still waiting on the light to hit my siblings as to my mom's condition!!!  they are having a hard time with everything that is going on with her from west nile virus to recurring UTI's and the dementia that has been setting in for quite some time!!!  I can only pray that God shows them the way!!!

Looking forward to getting back to my home in Enid and am very excited about it!!!  It is very uncomfortable for Garry and I both being here in mom's house!!!  You can imagine being uneasy about touching or doing anything for fear of everyone thinking you are going to steal or pawn or sell or whatever, something that does not belong to us!!!  Those thoughts have never crossed our minds, our only goal is to get home!!!

What did I start talking about, oh, Jake, anyhow, he has decided to nap and dinner is being cooked as I type and will be ready soon!!!  Hope all is well with everyone!!!

Beginnings

Okay, so I am new to blogging, I will try and make sense, no promises though!!!  For starters, I married my hubby in 1982, lots of mishaps along the way, moved from Oklahoma City to Enid, Oklahoma in 1994, made lots of friends and things along the way!!  Forward to 2004, somehow managed to contract narcotizing faciitis along this time, spent 2 months in the hospital, was also diagnosed with type two diabetes, learned to deal with that...at least trying... Survived the passing of many friends and family....in late 2010, got a call from my mom and step dad to come move to Texas and help them out...got mom thru the death of my step dad and now are dealing with her West Nile virus, was very fortunate to meet a new friend, Susan and her hubby George,   and they have added their new four leg baby Dasher into their family.  Now Suze and her hubby had made a trip to Guatemala on a mission trip and came home with news that they wanted to sell their home and live in Guatemala for a couple of years before retiring somewhere.  Well, after six months on the market their home did not sell, then the bad news that the mission trip fell thru!!!

Well, smartie pants that I can be at times, said how sorry I was, but I had a idea, move to Oklahoma with me!  Suze's was like, let me think about it, the next day, she calls me and says, Enid would be a great spot for them to retire, now to convince George.  Well, after much discussion and thought, they have decided to give it a shot as they could and will be able to pay off a house and retire with this kind of a move.  By the way, George is a registered nurse, nurses are in great demand in Enid.

Needless to say, I thought it was a great decision!!!  We are now all together in the planning stages of moving 500 miles north.  I hope that they will enjoy Enid, and our great network of friends there as much as Garry and I will be to have them there.  We are busily searching the Internet for them a home there as well...Hopefully I can be on here to tell some good stories about all the future adventures to come!!!
